Strathcona Cup 2018!

Every 5 years or so since 1903 male curlers from Canada and Scotland have gotten together to compete for the cup, with play alternating between the two countries. There will be a Canadian tour, 40 curlers, heading to Scotland in January, 2018 and the organizing committee has begun looking for people who might be interested in joining the group. The plan is to have the final selection completed by August of this year.

This will be the 11th “Men’s Team Canada” to cross the Atlantic and play in Scotland for the Strathcona Cup.

Besides being reasonably fit and a reasonably competent curler, selection criteria could include involvement at the club and curling association level, community involvement and a variety of other skills/abilities that could be of assistance during the tour.

Most participants bear their own costs.

If you are interested in being considered for the team, please e-mail Harry Plemel at plemel@sasktel.net

If you have any questions you may contact Harry over the phone (Cell : 306 – 861 – 7136)
